FAQ
Questions
If your question is not here, it may not have an answer yet. The club is still being set up.
- Is Monacano an official or Monégasque organisation?
- No. Monacano is an independent club run by residents. It has no connection with the Prince's Palace, the Government of Monaco or any official body, and it does not speak for Monégasques.
- Do I have to be Monégasque to join?
- No. The club is open to residents of Monaco of every nationality, including Monégasques. Nationality is not something we ask about.
- I spend part of the year here. Can I join?
- We have not decided yet. For now the club is designed for people whose main home is Monaco. If you are planning to move here, you can apply and say so.
- How much does it cost?
- Fees will be announced before membership opens. Nothing is paid at this stage, and this site never asks for card details.
- How big will the club be?
- Small, on purpose. The size of the club will be announced before membership opens.
- Is there a clubhouse?
- No. Dinners and visits happen in restaurants, members' homes and places around Monaco. That is why the club can stay small and its fees honest.
- How do you check that I live in Monaco?
- A host asks to see your resident card or Monégasque identity card in person. We record only that it was seen, by whom and when. We never ask you to upload a document, and we never keep a copy or a number.
- What happens to the information I send?
- It is used only to consider your application. We keep it for a limited time and you can ask us to delete it. The privacy notice explains the details.
- Is it a business network?
- No. Introductions are social first. Selling to other members is against the house rules.
- Who runs it?
- A small group of resident hosts. The club's legal form is being finalised, and its details will appear in the legal notice before it opens.
- When does it open?
- An opening date has not been announced. If you apply now, we will write to you when there is news.
